Ben Simmons was already nursing a sore elbow, and after sitting out a game, he picked up another injury in his return to action Monday.
The Philadelphia 76ers rookie suffered a sprained right ankle during a loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. He left the game in the fourth quarter, and did not return.
X-rays on Simmons' ankle came back negative, and he'll be re-evaluated Tuesday morning, CSN's Jessica Camerato reports.
The early front-runner for Rookie of the Year, Simmons came into Monday's game averaging 18.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, 7.7 assists, and 2.1 steals, all rookie highs.
