Blake Griffin diagnosed with sprained MCL, could miss 8 weeks
Los Angeles Clippers power forward Blake Griffin has been diagnosed with a sprained MCL in his left knee, the team announced in a release Tuesday, via Turner Sports' David Aldridge.
Though Griffin avoided structural damage to his knee, the Clippers revealed he could miss up to eight weeks.
Griffin was injured in the fourth quarter of the Clippers' win over the Lakers on Monday, when teammate Austin Rivers fell onto his left leg while battling for a loose ball.

Although Griffin escaped a more serious injury, the latest ailment is another in a long list of setbacks for the 28-year-old across his eight NBA seasons.
