The Washington Wizards announced Friday that their new G League team will be called the Capital City Go-Go. The squad is set to begin play next season at the new St. Elizabeths East Entertainment and Sports Arena in Southeast Washington.
“It was a natural name, we went into the community and asked fans if this was an appropriate homage.” - @TedLeonsis on the Go-Go name. pic.twitter.com/a0RITT7yqN

With the Wizards having the franchise in place for 2018-19, only three NBA teams - the Denver Nuggets, New Orleans Pelicans, and Portland Trail Blazers - do not yet have an exclusive G League affiliate.
