Durant: Refs have the power, 'I gotta just shut up and take it'

Kevin Durant became the latest NBA superstar to feel the wrath of officiating Friday, getting ejected in the fourth quarter of the Warriors' 133-112 win over the Orlando Magic. Days after LeBron James and Anthony Davis got their first career ejections, Durant landed his third after jawing with referee Eric Lewis.

"The refs run the game, so if they not feeling good today, they can just make any decision they want," Durant said afterward, via The Athletic's Anthony Slater. "I gotta know that they got all the power, I gotta just shut up and take it."

Given Davis' fine for "verbal abuse" after his ejection Wednesday, Durant can probably expect his wallet to be a tad lighter in coming days, given his apparent parting words to Lewis.
