Gobert ahead of schedule in recovery; questionable vs. Wizards
Good news, Jazz fans: Rudy Gobert is almost ready to return.
Utah's starting center participated in light practice Sunday and is questionable for Monday's contest against the Washington Wizards.
Gobert has been sidelined since Nov. 10 when he suffered a bone bruise in his right knee as a result of this "dirty" play by Miami Heat guard Dion Waiters:

Gobert was expected to miss four-to-six weeks, though he appears to be recovering ahead of schedule. Monday's game against the Wizards comes about three weeks after Utah announced the timetable for his return.
Gobert averaged 13.9 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks over the first 12 games of the season.
The Jazz have done more than just stay afloat without their defensive anchor, winning seven of 11 games in his absence, including five in a row, and boast the league's sixth-best defensive rating.
