LaVar Ball says Lakers' media policy won't stop him from talking
Good luck trying to silence LaVar Ball.
The father of Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball offered his input on the so-called "LaVar Ball rule" - an existing policy the team is actively enforcing this season to keep media members away from players' friends, family, and agents following games at Staples Center.
"It's a good rule but I ain't gonna never shut up, so we'll see if the rule works or not," LaVar said when asked about it Tuesday on SiriusXM NBA Radio.
"It's not even a rule, I'm trying to figure out what they talking about. What is anybody talking about? The 'LaVar Ball rule,' what's the 'LaVar Ball rule'?"

The chatty and outspoken father of three fielded questions on the court following the Lakers' opening-night loss to the Clippers, and hasn't done it again. It's believed he was told not to, given the league's policy that dictates only credentialed individuals may enter the court.
LaVar insists, however, that nobody in the organization has asked him to pipe down, so he's going to keep saying whatever he wants, even if it's critical of the Lakers.
"If somebody asks me a question and I feel like answering, I'm gonna answer it," he said.
