Brooklyn Nets guard Allen Crabbe was fined $15,000 by the NBA on Wednesday for violating the rule prohibiting players from throwing any item - including the game ball - at the basket stanchion.
The incident occurred in the fourth quarter of the Nets' 110-90 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Monday. Crabbe threw the ball down the floor after disagreeing with a call. He received a technical foul and was ejected.
