MJ held meeting with Hornets players
Charlotte Hornets team owner Michael Jordan is looking for answers.
The Hornets are mired in a poor run, having dropped seven of their last eight games and 13 of their last 17. Ahead of Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers, Jordan held a meeting with the players and asked about their concerns.
Hornets forward Marvin Williams said Jordan wasn't confrontational, but he did want to understand the players' perspective.
"It wasn't a talking-to," Williams told Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer. "He wanted to hear what our thoughts were, where we wanted to be. He gave his input on what he's seen, what he would like to see going forward.
"It was very constructive, very appreciative, and very much needed."
Coaches were not in the room for the meeting, Bonnell reports.
Charlotte proceeded to lose 110-99 to the Lakers, and Bonnell described Jordan as "looking glum" when he left the arena.
After a promising 5-3 start, the Hornets have plummeted to 13th in the conference, only ahead of the tanking Atlanta Hawks and Chicago Bulls. The Hornets lost to the Bulls in overtime Friday.
