Embiid owns defenseless Towns with social media comeback
On Tuesday night, Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers handled their business in Minnesota, taking down the Timberwolves 118-112.
Third-year center Karl-Anthony Towns recorded a 19-point, 16-rebound double-double, but ultimately had no answer for Embiid on the defensive end. The Process finished with 28 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists, and one block in a career-high 39 minutes. It wasn't until Wednesday evening that Embiid commemorated his big performance with an Instagram diss aimed at Towns - known colloquially as "KAT:"
Towns took umbrage with Embiid's assessment of the game - which the 76ers center predictably used as ammo in yet another barb:

The moral of the story? If you come at the king, you best not miss - and maybe put up a stronger defensive front next time around.
