Lithuanian club triples ticket prices for Ball brothers' debut
When your team features not one, but two "Big Ballers," you can command big bucks from the local hoop fans.
Lithuanian club BC Prienai, the new employer of LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball, has reportedly increased ticket prices by 167 percent ahead of the brother's professional debuts, according to freelance reporter Simonas Baranauskas.
In reality, that means the cost of admission to see the Balls and their new team has only jumped from about €3 to €8, which translates to $9 US, or one 55th of a pair of older brother Lonzo's ZO2s. Such is life in the middling Baltic Basketball League.
The Balls are expected to debuts Jan. 8 vs. BC Tsmoki-Minsk. For superfans, getting into the arena is a steal, but actually travelling to rural northern Europe is another concern altogether.
