Spalding gifts commemorative basketballs to Kobe
Spalding created two one-of-a-kind basketballs to celebrate the retirement of Kobe Bryant's No. 8 and No. 24 jerseys.
The balls were presented to Bryant following Monday's ceremony at Staples Center. They feature "a black and gold finish with hand-set black crystals, a matte varnish snake scale cover material with a hand-sketched Black Mamba, dual-jersey number embellishments, and custom packaging," Kenyatta Bynoe, vice president of global marketing and partnerships at Spalding, told Don Povia of The Outside Game.
