LeBron helped design Cavs' new 'City Edition' uniform
Gray is the new black in Cleveland, and LeBron James loves every bit of it.
Nike and the NBA officially introduced the new "City Edition" uniforms for 28 of the 30 teams Wednesday afternoon, including a gray colorway for the Cavaliers that's a little different from what they've worn in the past.
James had significant input with regards to the jersey design process, and indicated he was very happy with the outcome.
"They’re phenomenal," James said during shootaround Wednesday. "I was happy to be a part of it. I love the color scheme. I love the Ohio crest on the front of the shorts. I love the color combination of the gray with the gold and the outline of navy. They allowed us to do a lot with it, so it was fun. It was a fun procedure.”
It's hard to imagine James being critical of anything Nike does, especially with a lifetime deal that's estimated to be worth over $1 billion. He wasn't shy to remind reporters that it was easy for him to have some input when it came to creating the jersey.
"Well I have a pretty good relationship with the makers of the uniforms," James said. "And I have a pretty good relationship with the company that made the uniforms."
