Rondo becomes 1st player since '96 to record 25 assists in a game
It was a very Rajon Rondo-esque performance - and then some - for the point guard on Wednesday night.
Rondo netted a franchise-record 25 assists in the New Orleans Pelicans' 128-113 win over the Brooklyn Nets, adding seven rebounds and only two points on 1-5 shooting.
Rondo became the ninth player in NBA history to notch 25-plus assists in a single game, and only the second to not finish with double figures in scoring. The other was Nate McMillan, who recorded eight points and 25 assists in 1987.
It's also the first time in nearly 22 years that someone has accomplished the feat. Jason Kidd had 25 assists in February of the 1995-96 season.
