Vince Carter scores game-high 24 points at 40 years old
He may be turning 41 in 20 days, but that didn't stop Vince Carter from turning back the clock and playing like he did in his prime.
The Sacramento Kings defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night thanks to Carter's game-high 24 points. So that begs the question, how many guys over the age of 40 have scored 24 or more points?
Six. That's it.
Only Michael Jordan (12 times), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (13 times), Robert Parish (three times), John Stockton (two times), Carter (two times), and Karl Malone (once) have been able to do so.

Carter went 4-of-5 from the 3-point line, making it the fifth time since he's turned 40 to hit four or more threes in a game. Jason Kidd is the only other player in NBA history to do so. He did it once in 2013.
