Warriors expect Curry back Saturday vs. Grizzlies
Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr says it's likely that Stephen Curry returns to action on Saturday against the Memphis Grizzlies.
"I doubt he'll play (Friday) with a back-to-back," Kerr said Thursday, according to ESPN's Chris Haynes. "I don't think it would make much sense, but I think he's probably going to want to. But it's more likely he plays Saturday. If all goes well, I expect him to play Saturday, but even if it goes well, I'm not expecting him to play tomorrow."
Curry has missed 10 straight games with a right ankle sprain. He participated in five-on-zero drills and scrimmaged three-on-three Thursday. The Warriors have gone 9-1 since the two-time MVP went down Dec. 4. It's the most games Curry has missed in any season since 2011-12.
He's averaging 26.3 points per contest - the second-best mark of his career so far - and the Warriors are 14.4 points per 100 possessions better with him on the floor.
