Clippers' Griffin returns vs. Lakers after missing 14 games
Blake Griffin is back well ahead of schedule.
The five-time All-Star will be in the lineup for the Los Angeles Clippers' game against the Lakers at Staples Center on Friday night.
Griffin has been sidelined since Nov. 27, after being diagnosed with a sprained MCL in his left knee. He suffered the injury against the Lakers, with teammate Austin Rivers falling into his knee while going for a loose ball.

His recovery timeline was initially set at approximately eight weeks, but he needed only about half that time.
Prior to going down, Griffin was averaging a career-high 23.6 points on 42.5 percent shooting, along with 7.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists in 35.8 minutes.
The Clippers went 6-8 without him, and are 14-19 overall.
