After drilling eight 3-pointers and dropping 29 points on Thursday night, it appears Gerald Green is about to get paid through the end of the season.

The Houston Rockets, who have until Sunday to decide whether to keep Green on their roster, plan to guarantee the journeyman wing's contract for the remainder of the 2017-18 campaign, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Rockets have a similar guarantee deadline for veteran guard Bobby Brown, and plan to waive him, according to Wojnarowski's sources. Brown has averaged 2.5 points and 0.6 assists in 5.8 minutes across 20 games this season, shooting 32.8 percent from the field and 27.5 percent from 3-point range.

Green has scored 56 combined points in his last two games and averaged 16.8 on .549/.568/1.000 shooting in the five games he's played since signing the non-guaranteed deal with the Rockets.
