Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is free and moving on from his mistake.

The Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard was released Monday from the Seal Beach Police Department Detention Center after completing his 25-day sentence for violating probation from a DUI arrest.

During the sentence, Caldwell-Pope was allowed to leave jail to practice with the Lakers and suit up in contests within the state of California. The 24-year-old missed four road games during the span - all Lakers losses - and said it was difficult for him because he felt like he let his teammates and his family down.

"Just a minor setback for me, (but there's a) lot of things I gotta change," Caldwell-Pope said after Monday's practice, as quoted by ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk. "Lotta things I gotta improve on. Had a lot of time to think about it."

KCP, who signed with L.A. on a one-year contract worth $18 million last offseason, said he's ready to put the ordeal in the rear-view mirror.

"Paid my debts and all. ... Everything is done. Put that behind me. Moving forward, finish my season. Just happy to be home."

He's averaging 13.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.7 steals over 33 games for the Lakers, who've fallen to the bottom of the West standings.
