Orlando Magic power forward Aaron Gordon didn't start against the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday due to a violation of team rules, the team announced.
Gordon, 22, arrived late to the team plane the previous day, a source told the Orlando Sentinel's Josh Robbins.
The fourth-year high-flyer is averaging 19.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, and two assists over 31 games, and is one of the leading candidates for the Most Improved Player award.
In his stead, Mario Hezonja joined Elfrid Payton, Jonathon Simmons, Evan Fournier, and Bismack Biyombo in the starting lineup for the Magic, who are looking to snap a four-game losing skid.
