LeBron: 'I don't know what's going to happen with our team'
The Cleveland Cavaliers have lost 10 of their last 14 games and after allowing 148 points in defeat to the Oklahoma City Thunder, there doesn't seem to be a cure in sight.
It hasn't helped that LeBron James has struggled to keep the team afloat. James was a minus-33 on Saturday, and four of his five worst plus-minus games have come in 2018.
The Cavaliers' struggles have prompted rumblings about Tyronne Lue's future in Cleveland, and when asked about the possibility of the head coach being fired, James was forthright about the uncertainty in the front office.
"I would hope not, but really don’t know," James said, according to Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com. "I don’t know what’s going to happen with our team. I have no idea what conversations have been going on. I’ve been trying to stay as laser-sharp as I can to keep my guys ready to go out and play."
The Cavaliers are currently third in the East with a 27-18 record, but have been one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA this season. Their defensive rating of 109.8 is second-last in the league and they are allowing teams to shoot 47.4 percent from the field, tied for second-worst.
