Cavs' Thomas: 'No bad blood between me and Kevin Love'
If rumors are to be believed, it's been a drama-filled week between Kevin Love and Isaiah Thomas.
Reports throughout the week suggested Isaiah Thomas called out Kevin Love after the Cleveland Cavaliers' big man prematurely exited a blowout loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Jan. 20. And then, on Friday, Love was apparently caught mocking Thomas' height during a game versus the Indiana Pacers. A perplexed Thomas, however, was quick to dispel any notion of an ongoing feud with his longtime friend.
"To be real, I didn't call (Love) out," Thomas told reporters of the post-Thunder meeting. "I asked him why wasn't he at the game ... supporting his teammates. And then after the game, I didn't ask him because he wasn't there. I was seeing where he was, so I didn't call him out any. Those reports that - whoever is saying that, there's no bad blood between me and Kevin Love. We go back to fifth and sixth grade. I asked a question where he was and it was never clarified. And that's all it was."
And as for Love's seemingly mean-spirited entry pass? Thomas took it as nothing more than a joke.
"Did you see I was smiling right after? Did you see that part? OK then," Thomas said. "There's nothing between me and Kevin Love. At all."
