Lou Williams dumbstruck after 2nd All-Star snub, wanted to represent underdogs
An All-Star appearance for Lou Williams just isn't in the cards this year.
Even with an opening being created as a result of DeMarcus Cousins' season-ending Achilles injury, NBA commissioner Adam Silver elected to go with Paul George as the injury replacement, and not the Los Angeles Clippers guard.
This decision didn't sit well with Williams, who took to Twitter on Saturday to express his disbelief over being snubbed for a second time.
What’s crazier than 1 snub??? 2

Williams eventually explained he didn't take being left out in the cold again personally, and that the reason he wanted the nod in the first place was to "represent the underdogs," making reference to his reserve status.
Y’all talking to a guy that’s been coming off the bench 7 plus years. Lol i ain’t hurt about no all star snub. It’s dope to be in the conversation. I wanted it just to represent the underdogs. Not for validation.

Hours prior to the league's official decision, Williams tweeted on multiple occasions implying he still wanted an All-Star spot.

At least Williams will be a part of the weekend festivities in some capacity, as he's reportedly set to be one of the participants in the All-Star Skills Challenge on Feb. 17.
The 31-year-old veteran is averaging a career-high 23.6 points per game this season for the Clippers, which ranks eighth among players in the Western Conference.
