Police say Milwaukee Bucks rookie Sterling Brown will not be charged for his actions last week at a Walgreens parking lot, reports Fox 6's Katie Delong.
An internal review was conducted, and it was determined that the Milwaukee Police Department would not be presenting the case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
The incident - which was captured by nearby security cameras - began around 2 a.m. on Friday morning when Brown's car was allegedly parked across two handicapped spaces. The 22-year-old later had a stun gun used on him by officers as the situation escalated.
"A command-level review of relevant reports and body camera footage indicate that Mr. Brown’s actions and behavior do not merit a criminal charge," the police said in an official statement. "Furthermore, the department is reviewing the police response including supervisory oversight.
"The matter has been referred to MPD Internal Affairs for investigation and at the completion of that investigation the findings will be made public and the body worn camera footage will be released."
Brown was selected 46th overall by Milwaukee in the 2017 draft out of SMU.
