Los Angeles Lakers center Channing Frye underwent a Laparoscopic Appendectomy in Cleveland on Friday night and will be re-evaluated when he returns to L.A. next week, according to Lakers reporter Mike Trudell.
The veteran big man was in good spirits after the operation, taking to Twitter with a joke.
I’m pretty sure that i got my appendix removed I’ll be able to dunk at least 3xs a month now! #ItWasWeighingMeDown

The 34-year-old, who missed Thursday's loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, was sent to the Lakers on trade deadline day from the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Isaiah Thomas blockbuster. He's played just once so far, registering three points in 11 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.
