The Portland Trail Blazers always pay their debts.
Last week on "Inside the NBA," Charles Barkley regaled Kenny Smith, Shaquille O'Neal, and Ernie Johnson with a story about how he visited the Portland Trail Blazers and their general manager one summer early in his career.
Barkley mentioned how the trip cost him $1,197, which was an effort to convince the franchise to trade for him.
Chuck told his side of the story.
