Raptors' Anunoby to return vs. Pacers following ankle injury
The rich get richer.
Toronto Raptors head coach Dwane Casey told reporters Thursday morning ahead of the team's road game against the Indiana Pacers that 20-year-old rookie OG Anunoby will make his return at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, according to Postmedia's Mike Ganter.
Casey wouldn't indicate whether Anunoby would start, though, which he has on 48 occasions. The Raptors have a plus-12.6 rating across 655 total minutes when he's slotted in at small forward next to Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, Serge Ibaka, and Jonas Valanciunas.
Anunoby has been sidelined since Feb. 28 with a right ankle sprain and bone bruise, yet that hasn't stopped the scorching-hot Raptors from flourishing. The beasts of the East own a 50-17 record, with nine straight victories and just a single loss since Feb. 2.
Through 60 games, Anonoby has averaged 5.9 points and 2.4 rebounds on 45.3 percent shooting.
