Raptors tie franchise record with 11th straight win
The Toronto Raptors tied a franchise record by winning their 11th straight game with a 122-115 overtime victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Friday.
With the win, their 52nd of the campaign, the Raps also ensured at least the second-best regular-season record in franchise history. Toronto's best-ever win total was 56 in 2015-16.
Overall, the Raptors have won 20 of their last 22 games and are in the driver's seat in the Eastern Conference with a five-game lead over the second-place Boston Celtics with 13 to play.
Toronto won Friday despite resting Kyle Lowry and playing lackadaisical basketball for much of the contest against the lottery-bound Mavericks. However, Jonas Valanciunas scored all five of his overtime points at the line to seal the victory, finishing with 21 points and 12 rebounds. DeMar DeRozan dropped a game-high 29.
