The Utah Jazz have submitted a formal bid to host the 2022 or 2023 NBA All-Star weekend in Salt Lake City.
The Jazz's home, Vivint Smart Home Arena, recently underwent major renovations. The building previously hosted the NBA All-Star Game in 1993 when it was known as the Delta Center.
Sacramento has also endorsed a bid to host either the 2022 or 2023 weekend, meaning two of the league's 10 smallest markets are vying for the festivities. Salt Lake City is frequently a butt of jokes for its perceived lack of entertainment options.
