Chauncey Billups: 'Still a desire of mine' to be NBA exec
Chauncey Billups continues to be interested in running an NBA team.
"It's still a desire of mine," he told BSN's Harrison Wind recently. "When it's time, it will happen."
Billups has been linked to open president and general manager positions with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Atlanta Hawks over the past year. A potential deal with the Cavs reportedly broke down last summer when owner Dan Gilbert lowballed him.

"Most of the time, when you get a job like that, it's because the situation is not good," Billups said. "If it was that good, that job wouldn't be open. Sometimes, it's about fit, but at the end of the day, there are only 30 of those jobs in the world."
The 41-year-old retired in 2014 after a 17-year playing career. He's now working as a broadcaster with ESPN/ABC.
The Denver native has expressed interest in a front-office role with the Nuggets.
