Warriors clinch playoff spot with Spurs' loss
Things aren't going tremendously smoothly for the Golden State Warriors right now, but good news came Monday night when they clinched a postseason berth for the sixth straight year by virtue of the San Antonio Spurs' loss to the Houston Rockets.
The Dubs go into Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers having lost two in a row for only the second time this season. Stephen Curry may return after missing the better part of three games with an ankle injury, but the normally machine-like Warriors have looked almost pedestrian of late, both offensively and defensively.
The Warriors have gone into the postseason with the best record in the NBA in each of the last three years, not to mention homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs. As of Monday, they sit two games behind the Rockets in the Western Conference.
