Chris Paul debuts CP3.XI signature shoe
Chris Paul's 11th signature shoe with Jordan Brand has arrived.
Paul debuted the shoe, the CP3.XI, during the Houston Rockets' 115-111 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night.
The CP3.XI features an internal lacing system with midfoot strap, solid rubber outsole, Zoom Air bags in the forefoot and heel, a TPU plate under the lateral forefoot, and an exploded CP3 logo on the heel. There are also "hidden" nods to Paul's family, such as the Chevron logo under the tongue, which is a nod to his late grandfather.
"I'm a sneakerhead, and listening to MJ growing up and buying Jordans - or trying to buy Jordans - and getting to know MJ personally and hear some of the stories, like with the Jordan 15s where the tongue goes out and it's supposed to be him sticking his tongue out, the 14s and the car that he drove ... I think the story is what makes the shoe," Paul said in a press release. "The different things that happen in my life tell my stories, like art."
The CP3.XI will be available beginning in April on Jordan.com and through select retailers.
