Giannis cleared to return vs. Spurs
Giannis Antetokounmpo is back.
The Milwaukee Bucks forward has been cleared to play and will start Sunday against the San Antonio Spurs, the team announced.
Antetokounmpo missed the team's victory in Chicago on Friday night due to a sprained right ankle suffered in the previous contest, with no return date given at the time.
He said he felt "good" after a light practice Saturday and full-speed individual workout. Jabari Parker started in the Greek Freak's absence, with Shabazz Muhammad also getting more burn.
Antetokounmpo is averaging 27.3 points, 10 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.4 blocks over 67 contests. His quick return affords him the opportunity to carry the No. 8 Bucks to more favorable playoff positioning, as only five games separate them from the No. 3 seed with 10 regular-season games remaining.
