Expect to see a lighter John Wall upon his return to the court, whenever that may be.

Wall, who's been out since late January due to surgery on his left knee, revealed Monday that he's lost between 10 and 15 pounds in the midst of his recovery, according to The Washington Post's Candace Bucker.

"I don't know how it happened because I wasn’t able to run," he said.

After experiencing soreness in his left knee, Wall elected to undergo an arthroscopic debridement procedure on Jan. 31, setting up a rough, initial recovery timetable of six-to-eight weeks. Now, just over seven weeks removed from his procedure, Wall is fresh off his first full-contact practice, but concedes he's unsure of when exactly he'll be back in the Wizards' lineup.

"To be honest, I have no idea," Wall said, courtesy of Bucker. "I don't know how many practices I have to go through with contact, so whenever I'll be able to talk to the doctors and the trainers again and if this is the last one or I have to do one more then it will kind of sum up when I’ll be able to play."

The 27-year-old point guard is averaging 19.4 points, 9.3 assists, three rebounds, and 1.3 steals this season in 37 games. Washington has fared well in his absence, however, going 14-11, helping them hold onto the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference.
