Pelicans become 2nd team ever to have 4 players record triple-double in a season
Jrue Holiday's triple-double Tuesday night against the Portland Trail Blazers placed the New Orleans Pelicans in the history books.
As a result of Holiday's 21-point, 11-rebound, 11-assist line, the Pelicans became just the second team in history to have four players produce at least one triple-double in a single season.
The only other team to accomplish that feat was the 1973-74 Los Angeles Lakers, as triple-doubles were recorded by Elmore Smith (6), Connie Hawkins (1), Jerry West (1), and Jim Price (1).
All-Stars DeMarcus Cousins (3) and Anthony Davis (1), along with guard Rajon Rondo (2), have all recorded triple-doubles for the Pelicans in 2017-18.
