While the Charlotte Hornets have yet to win a playoff series under Michael Jordan's ownership, the franchise has been good for his wallet.
The increased value of the Hornets, coupled with the continued success of his Jordan Brand, has pushed Jordan's net worth to $1.65 billion, up $350 million from this time last year, according to Kurt Badenhausen of Forbes. This makes Jordan the 1,477th wealthiest person in the world - up 90 spots from last year - and 455th in the United States.
The Hornets ranked No. 28 on Forbes' annual list of estimated NBA franchise valuations with a projected worth of $1.05 billion.
