Report: Simmons, Fultz visited Meek Mill in prison
From players to management, the Philadelphia 76ers have shown a lot of love for rapper and Philly native Meek Mill since his imprisonment last November.
The Sixers continued that trend when rookie guards Ben Simmons and Markelle Fultz paid the hip-hop star a visit in prison this week, according to TMZ Sports. It was organized by 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin, who visited Meek Mill earlier this year.
Things stayed on the positive side, with the 30-year-old artist praising the team for its success and giving Simmons and Fultz "words of wisdom," sources told TMZ Sports.
Meek Mill received two-to-four years in a state prison after a failed drug test and noncompliance with a court-ordered travel restriction, according to CNN's Deena Zaru.
The 76ers sit 1 1/2 games ahead of the Indiana Pacers for the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference, and just a half-game behind the Cleveland Cavaliers for the third seed with four games remaining.
