Bledsoe on Rozier: 'I don't even know who the f--- that is'
The Boston Celtics beat the Milwaukee Bucks again Tuesday night to take a 2-0 lead in their first-round series, as point guard Terry Rozier once again badly outplayed his Bucks counterpart, Eric Bledsoe.
Rozier went for 23 points and eight assists on 8-of-14 shooting, held Bledsoe to 12 points on 13 shots at the other end, and was a game-high plus-19 in 38 minutes. But, despite that performance, and the fact that Bledsoe has spent much of the series "guarding" Rozier, the Bucks point guard pleaded ignorance after the game.
"Who?" Bledsoe said, when asked about the matchup with Rozier. "I don't even know who the f--- that is."
It seems hard to believe, especially given that Rozier put that whupping on him in Game 2 just a couple nights after doing this:
Maybe Bledsoe's still traumatized and blocked that moment, and the very notion of Rozier as a human, out of his head?
In any event, through two games, Rozier is averaging 23 points and 5.5 assists on .469/.500/.900 shooting, while committing nary a turnover. Bledsoe's at 10.5 points and four assists on .360/.333/.500, with a pair of Ls to his name.
