Atlanta Hawks head coach Mike Budenholzer has withdrawn from consideration for the Phoenix Suns' coaching vacancy, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Budenholzer met with the Suns on Monday and Tuesday, but the former 2015 Coach of the Year has apparently decided to go another direction. The 48-year-old holds a 213-197 record over a five-year period.
The Suns will meet with interim coach Jay Triano in addition to David Fizdale, Steve Clifford, Kevin McHale, and Frank Vogel as they look for a permanent solution for their young core moving forward, Wojnarowski adds.
Phoenix hasn't qualified for the playoffs since 2010, and have little to show for being in the lottery over the last four years.
