Once in control of their first-round series against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Indiana Pacers now face elimination as they return home for Game 6 on Friday.
Much of the blame for Wednesday's 98-95 Game 5 loss fell at the feet of Pacers coach Nate McMillan, who watched LeBron James bury a game-winning trey as time expired - even though his team had two fouls to give.
"I'll take that (blame)," McMillan said afterward, according to the Indy Star's Greg Doyel. "We have a timeout as far as what we see, and we have a foul to give. We leave here with both of them."
McMillan will also wear the previous play, where James blocked a driving layup - although it may well have been goaltending - on Victor Oladipo. After a screen on J.R. Smith, James ended up switched onto Oladipo, a total mismatch for Indiana.
Oladipo ended up 2-for-15 on the night. After averaging 24 points on a field-goal percentage of 48 in the first three games of the series, he's been held to 14.5 points and 20 percent shooting in the last two.
