76ers' Simmons scores 1 point in Game 2 loss
The worst offensive performance of Ben Simmons' young career came at a time when his Philadelphia 76ers really needed him to be better.
The No. 1 overall pick contributed a single point across his 31 minutes of playing time in Thursday's 108-103 loss at TD Garden, which leaves the Sixers trailing the Boston Celtics 2-0.

Simmons turned the ball over more times (five) than he attempted shots (four), adding five rebounds and seven assists. Philly was outscored by 23 points with him on the floor - the worst mark by any player on either team.
His four shots tied a season low in that department, while his lone point was three fewer than his previous rock bottom (a four-point outing versus the Milwaukee Bucks on April 11).
"I think mentally, I was thinking too much," Simmons said postgame of his performance. "Overthinking the plays. It wasn't just out there flowing and playing the way I play, which is free."
Simmons is now the 21st player since 1964 to play at least 31 minutes in a postseason game and record one point. The last player to do so was George Hill in 2013 with the Indiana Pacers.
The series shifts to the City of Brotherly Love for Game 3 on Saturday.
