Former Minnesota Timberwolves assistant Rick Brunson resigned Tuesday after it was reported that he engaged in improper interactions with several women, according to Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.
One of the apparent victims is a media member, according to Chris Haynes of ESPN.
Brunson was arrested and charged with aggravated battery and sexual assault in 2014 for an incident with a massage therapist, according to the Chicago Tribune. He pleaded not guilty and was eventually acquitted.
The 42-year-old Brunson played nine seasons in the NBA and was hired as an assistant with the Timberwolves in 2016 by head coach Tom Thibodeau. He also previously worked in Denver, Chicago, and Charlotte.
