Charles Barkley said he'd never seen any team play dumber defense than the Cleveland Cavaliers. In terms of the last three minutes of Game 3, he's not far off.

All anyone will remember from Wednesday night is Kevin Durant's clutch triple, but the Golden State Warriors won by capitalizing on the Cavaliers' mistakes and scored on their final five possessions of the game.

Those five shots included a layup, a wide-open three, two dunks, and, of course, Durant's dagger, which represented both flawless crunch time execution by the Warriors and sloppy defending by the Cavaliers.

2:58 - Stephen Curry gets a layup - 98-97 GSW

The play begins with Durant running the offense while Draymond Green and Stephen Curry prepare a two-man game on the weak side of the floor.

Tristan Thompson sags off the non-shooter in Green to protect the basket, but that opens up a potential pin-down scenario if Curry curls around Green, so J.R. Smith carefully positions himself to trail Curry closely to deny the pass.

Curry recognizes Smith is trying to run him off the line, so he wrestles for inside position while Green dribbles into the paint to occupy Thompson. Curry then cuts to the basket, while Green hits him in stride.

Kevin Love should have helped at the rim, but he recognized the action too late and Curry was able to break out of his shooting slump with a scoop layup.

2:38 - Curry scores wide-open three - 101-97 GSW

After recording a stop, the Warriors smartly attack in transition. Curry rushes up the floor and forces the Cavaliers into making a tough decision with him and Klay Thompson spacing the floor.

Smith and Rodney Hood fail to communicate, and it leads to a costly breakdown. Hood rotates to Curry, while Smith scrambles desperately to Thompson.

Except Hood doesn't fully commit to Curry after falling for a pass fake. He moves back to Thompson, which leaves Curry wide-open to hit his first triple of the night to extend the lead to four points.

1:37 - Andre Iguodala dunks it easily - 103-100 GSW

LeBron James drilled a huge trey to bring his team within one, but the Cavaliers wasted the opportunity by making another silly mistake on defense.

Durant and Andre Iguodala ran a two-man game with the specific intent of exploiting Love on a switch. The first two screens didn't quite work, but the third attempt on a hand-off between Iguodala and Durant provides an opening.

Love shows high against Durant while James fights over the screen, which leaves Iguodala an easy opportunity to slip to the rim. Tristan Thompson was busy chasing Klay Thompson on a cut to the corner, so he recognizes the action too late, and ends up getting posterized by Iguodala.

0:50 - Durant sinks the dagger - 106-100 GSW

With a chance to go up 3-0, the Warriors slowed the offense to give Durant the last shot against a mismatch.

The Cavaliers didn't try particularly hard to keep James on Durant, as the Warriors introduced a switch with Hood on Durant with a half-hearted screen by Curry. Durant can shoot over both James and Hood, but James would probably do a better job of contesting the eventual shot.

Having taken James out of the play, the Warriors screen with Iguodala to downsize even further by swapping out Hood for Smith. Durant sees the opportunity and casually fires over Smith for the 33-foot backbreaker.

0:25 - Another breakdown, another dunk - 108-102 GSW

James scored a layup to bring the score within four, which was still a manageable situation with over 40 seconds left. However, the Cavaliers simply couldn't come up with a stop when they needed one.

Again, it was Hood's error - he comes up way too high as Curry sets the screen for Durant, and is trailing the play when Curry slips.

Hood scrambles to close out, but he's so far back that Smith decides to stunt towards the play and leave Green in the corner. It wouldn't have been a bad decision if Love recognized his rotation and moved towards the basket, but he's caught ball-watching while guarding a non-shooter in Iguodala.

Green sees an open baseline and cuts to the rim. Curry wisely spots the cut and finds him with a good pass on the move. Love rotates late and Green finishes an easy dunk to seal the win.
