Kerr 'feels great' about Warriors despite 3-2 deficit
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr put on a brave face after a harrowing loss to the Houston Rockets in Game 5.
Kerr praised his team for putting on a strong defensive performance and told reporters he "feels great" despite being in a 3-2 series deficit in the Western Conference finals.
"I feel great about where we are right now. That may sound crazy, but I feel it," Kerr said.
Games 4 and 5 both came down to the wire, so the Warriors could be ahead or even finished with the series, which could explain Kerr's sentiment. However, they have struggled to generate quality offense, as the Rockets have successfully lulled them into playing isolation basketball.
Another reason for Kerr's confidence could be the health of Chris Paul, who appeared to tweak his hamstring at the end of Game 5. Paul willed the Rockets to their last two wins, but he was unable to finish the final few possessions on Thursday.
