Kobe addresses GOAT race: 'Don't debate what can't be definitively won'

It's safe to assume that the basketball world will never come to a consensus on who the greatest player in NBA history is.

Rather than find reasons to boost one player's bid over another, perhaps it's best to just appreciate those in the conversation for their respective accolades and accomplishments, which is how Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant sees things.

After watching LeBron James advance to an eighth straight Finals on Sunday night on the back of a 35-point performance, Bryant sent out a tweet addressing all of the GOAT conversations, while seemingly throwing his name in the hat alongside James and Michael Jordan.

As he alluded to with his hashtags, Bryant does have five championships on his resume, which is two more than James' three but one fewer than Jordan's six.
