Some major noise was made atop the NBA draft order Thursday night.
The Atlanta Hawks and Dallas Mavericks swapped their third and fifth overall picks, sending Luka Doncic to Dallas at No. 3 and Trae Young to Atlanta at No. 5.
Dallas is also sending a 2019 first-round pick to the Hawks that's top-five protected.
The Hawks were reported to have been interested in moving down from No. 3 in order to land Young.
Doncic became the fifth international player in NBA history to be selected with a top-three pick, joining Yao Ming, Andrea Bargnani, Darko Milicic, and Pau Gasol.
