New York Knicks point guard Ron Baker has exercised his $4.5-million player option for the 2018-19 season, sources told Yahoo's Shams Charania.
In the first year of his deal with the Knicks, the undrafted Wichita State product played in just 29 games, largely due to a dislocated shoulder and torn labrum. He underwent season-ending surgery in February.
Baker's sophomore season wasn't exactly going swimmingly before the injury. He averaged 2.4 points and 1.6 assists in 13.3 minutes a game while shooting 33.9 percent from the field.
