With the 20th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, the Minnesota Timberwolves selected Georgia Tech swingman Josh Okogie.

Okogie enjoyed a rapid ascent up draft boards through the pre-draft process due to his freakish athleticism and potential to develop into an ever-so-coveted 3-and-D wing. He has the foundations to be a successful rotation player in the NBA right away.

Earning third-team All-ACC honors as a sophomore this past season, the 19-year-old averaged 18.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.8 steals per game while shooting over 82 percent at the free-throw line.

What the analysts are saying

"Okogie has the type of length, toughness, and multipositional defensive versatility the coaching staff covets, and he has put himself firmly in the first-round mix with a strong pre-draft process, including an excellent showing at the combine." - Jonathan Givony, ESPN

"There are a number of positive indicators with his shot but his form and release speed are major concerns. Where the shot ends up will be the biggest determinant of his NBA future. May have some avenues to secondary creation upside if he tightens his handle, but likely profiles as a 3-and-D guy who can attack closeouts well with burst and vision." - The Stepien
