Longtime ESPN broadcaster Hubie Brown was forced to miss the radio call of Game 4 of the NBA Finals Friday night after hurting his knee prior to the contest.

"Hubie was injured when he bumped his knee on a table during pregame. He's in good spirits and being treated by the medical staff on site," ESPN said in a statement, per Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press. AP later said that Brown was taken to a nearby hospital.

Brown, 84, is working his 17th Finals as a broadcast analyst. Generally regarded as one of the game's top broadcasters, the Hall of Famer last coached in the NBA with the Memphis Grizzlies in 2005.
