Lakers take Isaac Bonga with No. 39 pick
With the 39th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Lakers selected German small forward Isaac Bonga.
Bonga is an unknown commodity with a wide-ranging set of skills that could make him a starter in the future. The 18-year-old prospect is a long-limbed, slender point forward with some Giannis Antetokounmpo in his game. It will be some time before Bonga develops into a productive professional in the NBA but he could be worth the wait.

What the analysts are saying
"Bonga is intriguing thanks to his combination of physical tools (7-0 wingspan), basketball instincts, intangibles, and age as one of the younger prospects in the 2018 NBA Draft. He plays almost exclusively on the ball, which is likely his best position long-term given his limitations as a shooter and scorer. Bonga is comfortable playing out of pick-and-roll, changing speeds and using both sides of the floor to facilitate. He also has some switch ability defensively." - Mike Schmitz, ESPN
