With the 34th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, the Atlanta Hawks selected Kansas point guard Devonte' Graham.

This pick was made on behalf of the Charlotte Hornets.

He averaged 17.3 points, 7.2 assists, four rebounds, and 1.6 steals on 40 percent shooting during his senior campaign. Graham was named the 2017-18 Big 12 Player of the Year, an award players like Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin, and Marcus Smart have won in the past.

What the analysts are saying

  • "Graham has the makings of an immediately solid backup point guard, with the ability to shoot and initiate out of pick-and-roll action. He’ll likely get drafted despite his age and limited ceiling." - Sports Illustrated's Jake Fischer
  • "It wouldn't be a surprise if Graham earns late first-round consideration for his backup ball-handling potential and shooting. He has the chance to carve out the same career Shabazz Napier has coming off the bench." - Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman
